Have you ever had a Surprise Party thrown for you? Have you ever thrown one for someone else? Well, your Heavenly Father wants to throw one for you and you might just be surprised by the reason why!

1. Has anyone ever done anything for you that you didn't feel you deserved?
   
   
2. Have you been more like the prodigal son or the older bother in your life?
   
   
3. Read Luke 15:27-31. How is the older brother justified in his response?
   
   
4. Does the fathers response to the prodigal surprise you?
   
   
5. Why do you think we have a tendency to want justice for other and grace for ourselves?
   
   
6. Do you tend to view your relationship with God through the "Obey=Loved" lense or the "Loved=Obey" lense?

Jamie challenged us to set up some type of reminder this week of the fathers forgiveness and love for us. How can you remind yourself of God's love for you and that it doesn't matter what you have done, but who you are journeying with?
