INTRODUCTION
Those who resist Christianity often do so because they have many unanswered questions. But when considering Christianity there is one question that trumps all the others. It doesn't answer the others, but it does put them into perspective. In this session we'll discuss how an influential man was transformed by this very question.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
- The question that shrinks all other questions is, "Who is Jesus?" What are the possible answers to this question (i.e. What does culture say? What does the Bible say?)?
- Read Acts 9:1-22. How did Paul's understanding of Jesus change? How did this change Paul?
- You likely have not had an encounter with Jesus quite as dramatic as Paul's on the road to Damascus, but when have circumstances forced you to wrestle with this question?
- Why is it so important to wrestle with the question, "Who is Jesus?"
- Who have you decided that Jesus is?
THINK ABOUT IT
How has your understanding of Jesus changed you?
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
What in your life still needs to change in light of who you believe Jesus to be?
CHANGING YOUR MIND
"Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. Acts 9:5
