INTRODUCTION

What are you supposed to do when you see someone going the wrong way? Many would tell you to not "judge," but are you really supposed to sit back and do nothing? In this session, we'll discover that judging others, when approached the right way, is actually an extension of the activity of God in another person?s life.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. Read Matthew 18:12. What are situations in which you would stop what you were doing and search for something that was lost?

  2. Read Matthew 18:13. When have you lost something of value? What lengths did you go to in order to find it? What did it mean when you found it?

  3. Read Matthew 18:14. How have you seen God bring you back when you went astray?

  4. Read Matthew 18:15. What is your responsibility when you see someone in your life going astray?

  5. Read Matthew 18:16. Why is it wise to bring others with you if the person doesn't listen to you the first time? How far would you be willing to go in order to bring him or her back?

  6. Read Matthew 18:17. After you have done everything in your power, what should you do if he or she still doesn?t listen?
